Warner Bros. Animation

My daughter loves Dr. Seuss books and her first one she learned to read by herself was Green Eggs and Ham. Dr. Seuss was also a childhood favorite author of many people in my youth so I was surprised to see it still around.
Watch the trailer below and let me know if you love it or if it ruined the story for you?
The animation style
I loved how characters were drawn in the books when I read them as a child. Which is why I am pleased to see that with the new series coming out, the animators have taken a more modern drawn animation design. The shadows and dimension on the characters give it a more appealing look all while not losing the characters image that we are familiar with.
“The series was created by showrunner Jared Stern (Wreck-It Ralph, The LEGO Batman Movie), who serves as executive producer alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Sam Register, Mike Karz, David Dobkin and Jeff Kleeman.”
The animation team debated on CG or 2D animation style but decided on 2D because it looked more like the books artwork, in which we all are accustomed to. The animators wanted to keep the art we all love but make it more defined without loosing the original Dr. Seuss art. They took a harder route when deciding to draw it instead of using CG effects but I am pleased with the decision to keep history alive while adding more to the story.
The series is making its debut on the streaming service Netflix starting November 8. Green Eggs and Ham, is a Netflix’s original animated series that the whole family will enjoy!
