Embracing Life’s Stages: A Journey of Growth and Creativity
My story has been shaped by a mix of unforgettable experiences: growing up in the world of pageants, watching my daughter shine on stage, stepping in front of the camera for television commercials, and learning how powerful confidence, presentation, and storytelling can be. Along the way, I fell in love with events the behind-the-scenes magic, the details people don’t always see, and the moments that make memories last.
From planning my own wedding to helping create beautiful celebrations for others, and now building our family home from the ground up, this blog reflects every chapter that has brought me here. It’s about growth, creativity, family, and embracing each season of life as it comes.
Here you’ll find stories from the past, lessons learned along the way, and a look into what I’m building now—both personally and professionally. Whether you’re here for inspiration, nostalgia, or to follow along on the journey, I’m so glad you’re here.
After months of framing, drywall, paint, and trim, installing the flooring was the moment our house finally started to feel like a home. Walls and rooms are one thing, but once the floors go in, everything connects literally and visually. This stage came with a lot of planning, patience, and a few lessons learned along…
This phase of the build took longer than we expected—but looking back, it’s easy to see why. Between painting, trim installation, and exterior access, there were a lot of details packed into this stage. These are the kinds of projects that don’t always feel exciting while you’re in them, but they completely change how the…
By this stage of the build, things shifted in a big way—both for the house and for me. I had officially left my bank job and was now working on our home full time. What started as nights, weekends, and “when we can” quickly turned into an all-in, every-day commitment. And honestly? It was exactly…
After what felt like nonstop delays earlier in the build, this phase moved quickly—almost too quickly. Installing insulation and drywall was one of those moments where everything started to come together at once, and suddenly the house felt less like a construction site and more like an actual home. We also added something during this…
Once framing was complete, the house quickly moved into a phase that doesn’t look very exciting from the outside—but is everything on the inside. This is where the house starts to function, not just stand. Rough plumbing, electrical, and HVAC are the systems that make a home livable, and this stage came with a mix…
Once the foundation was complete and the basement floor was poured, it finally felt like we were ready for the “exciting” part of building a home—watching it go up. This is the stage where your house starts to look like an actual house instead of a very expensive hole in the ground. Unfortunately, as we’ve…
My husband and I are now years into our home-building project, and for the first time, we’re finally starting to see real progress every day. The last few months brought more than a few challenges – permits, clearing, digging but I truly believe we are now on the upswing. Once excavation and leveling were complete,…
In my personal experience Building your new home is exciting, especially when you understand how the process works. It has always been my dream to have a custom home made just for me. I never truly thought that dream would become a reality, but when my dad offered to help my newlywed husband and me…

Where to start? I got engaged while on vacation in Mexico to my live in boyfriend and had no ideas on how to get started. I am not a planner type of person and don’t get me started on my non existent savings account. I hear that planning a wedding can be one of the…
